The Burma Center was established in 2011 under a grant from Kellogg Foundation to empower Burmese Americans to be able to access resources in the community and be able to participate in and enhance the culture of Battle Creek and the larger community. We are not a government agency. We are a young non-profit organization with tight resources. We exist to advance issues for the common good. We work to make life better for all. We empower Burmese Americans through advocacy, community engagement and education. We recently received the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) Grant in order to continue our mission and vision.
The Burma Center is a beacon of HOPE to the Burmese Community. It is where DREAMS are built and lives are TRANSFORMED. We help our community members reach their full human potential.
